Affordable & Accessible Public Transit

Free Milton Transit for seniors, students, and GO commuters.
Improve transit connectivity between neighbourhoods, schools, community hubs, and regional transit services.
Invest in a transit system that is reliable, accessible, and affordable for all residents.

Affordable Childcare for Working Families

Establish municipally supported childcare centres in libraries, community centres, and other town owned facilities.
Increase access to affordable childcare spaces to help parents participate fully in the workforce and community life.
Continue advocating for the expansion and protection of the $10 a day childcare program so that every family has access to affordable, high quality childcare.

Sustainable & Affordable Housing

Offer tax incentives and development benefits for builders who create purpose built rental housing.
Prioritize projects that include energy efficient designs, green building standards, and environmentally sustainable features.
Support housing solutions that are affordable, environmentally responsible, and built for future generations.

Fair Growth & Community Investment

Higher development charges on new homes over $2 million.
Luxury developments should contribute more toward the roads, parks, transit, and community services.
Additional revenue can support affordable housing, public transit, recreation facilities, libraries, parks, and other services that improve quality of life for all residents.

Healthy Children, Strong Communities

Partner with school boards, community organizations, and local businesses to support breakfast and lunch programs for students.
Work to ensure no child in Milton starts the school day hungry.
Child focused food charities across the Halton Region have seen demand increase by nearly 50% since 2020, driven largely by rising housing costs and underemployment. No child should have to struggle to learn because they lack access to nutritious food.
Advocate for sustainable funding and community partnerships that help families facing food insecurity.

Supporting Healthcare Access

Advocate for reduced ambulance fees and lower hospital parking costs for Milton residents.
Explore municipal subsidies and partnerships to lessen the financial burden on families accessing healthcare services.
Continue advocating for improved healthcare funding and expanded services for Milton's growing population.

My vision is a Milton where seniors can stay connected, students can travel affordably, families can access quality childcare, renters can find sustainable housing, children have access to nutritious meals, and residents can receive healthcare without unnecessary financial barriers.

Why I'm Running

Milton is one of Canada's fastest growing communities, and with that growth comes real pressure on the things that matter most. Getting around town, finding a home you can afford, feeling safe in your neighbourhood, and knowing that local services actually work for you.

I'm running for Mayor because I believe leadership should start with listening. Every resident, whether women, youth, seniors, newcomers, or long time families, deserves a voice at the table and a town that works for them.

I have spent years turning that belief into action right here in Milton. As the Founder and CEO of Milton Muslim Moms, I built a grassroots organization that has grown since 2015 into one of our community's most trusted networks for support, advocacy, and service. What began as a small circle of women has become a force for good across our town.

Under my leadership, Milton Muslim Moms launched bi weekly food drives that help local families facing food insecurity, regardless of faith, culture, or background. We have run annual toy and food drives for low income families and refugees, supported newcomers with settlement and language resources, and created safe spaces and workshops for women and youth on mental health, leadership, and career planning.

I have worked to bring people together across differences. Our annual Interfaith Community Iftar Dinner brings faith leaders, local officials, and residents of all backgrounds to one table to build understanding and break down stereotypes. Through our partnership with Sustainable Milton on climate and sustainability initiatives, we have shown that protecting our environment and building community can go hand in hand.

I have also stood up on the issues that matter, encouraging residents to vote and make their voices heard, and advocating publicly for our schools and families. Beyond Milton Muslim Moms, I work alongside other local organizations across Milton to strengthen the services and connections our community depends on. This is the work that has earned me the trust of people across Milton, and it is the same energy, listening first and acting with purpose, that I will bring to the Mayor's office.
